Praxisma | Urban design, planning, and place-making

Urban design · planning · place-making

We turn complex sites into places that feel inevitable.

A multidisciplinary studio shaping cities from the regional scale to the street, joining the analytical discipline of planning with the hand and eye of designers.

Working with cities, master developers, institutions, and communities.

Reading the urban fabric, from block to street

Every place we shape should feel like it always belonged there.

We combine rigorous analysis with the craft of drawing. Plans are tested against markets, movement, and the realities of delivery, then drawn by hand until they read as a coherent human place.

And they are made with people, not for them. Engagement sits at the centre of the work, so that the communities who will live in a place help author it, and recognise themselves in the result.

The engagement-led approach

Design with people, not for them.

From the first analysis to the final pattern book, our process moves through the charrette: an intensive, collaborative design workshop where planners, designers, clients, and communities draw together until consensus takes a built form.
